Jewish Chinese Fusion Wedding at 2941

This Jewish-Chinese fusion wedding day was so incredibly special and treated us all to a masterful combination of two of my favorite ancient cultures. Aaron and Yao began their ceremony by circling each other seven times (Jewish) and then bowing to heaven and earth, bowing to their parents and bowing to each other (Chinese). They read their ketubah aloud, Aaron played a piece of music on his cello that was inspired by Yao’s birthplace in China, Rabbi Patrick Beaulier told their story to us and their family shared with us all of the Seven Blessings.

It was so moving and special and I wiped away a LOT of tears ... then the reception started. I couldn’t possibly tell you all of the amazing and heartfelt words that were shared this day but I can confidently say I have only once ever seen an entire reception full of people brought to tears like this. It was so moving and filled me with so much GRATITUDE for what I do. I will remember this day forever and ever and ever.
