Wedding at Gallery O on H
Nick and Ashley planned the most personalized and perfect wedding in downtown DC. From the entirely handmade wedding cakes (Ashley owns the chic and delicious Brown Box Cake Stand) to their hand crafted cocktails (a million lemons were squeezed) the entire wedding was created with their love story and their amazing guests in mind. Nick and Ashley both go out of their way to share their time and their talents with all of their friends and family. Amidst all the reception craziness, they still made sure I had a slice of all three cakes. We selfied and laughed and I remembered how on our first phone call, Nick asked me why I shoot weddings. As I stood there with them on their wedding day, I felt like telling him "This is why I do it." No, not for the cake. For the people like Nick and Ashley. <3

“Jessica was a dream to work with. She was super kind from the beginning — we did a phone call and meshed really well together, then we met for coffee which allowed us to get to know each other a little more. Jessica took the time and effort to get to know us as a couple, which I think truly made our photos better. We don’t really like being photographed or being the center of attention, but Jess made us feel comfortable to be ourselves.
Throughout planning, she was helpful and accommodating, and she provided us with lots of advice beyond photography (ie vendor recs, tips on flowers, etc). Jessica was extremely responsive to text and email (including calming me down and assuring me the photos would still be great when I panicked the day before because of a 90% chance of rain!) She was flexible and active throughout the entire wedding day. Many of our guest commented on how kind, personable, friendly, and skilled she is! She was also great with our one-year old niece, capturing lots of adorable photos of her. She made everyone comfortable while capturing so many moments of the day.
On top of being an amazing person to work with, the photos are of course absolutely stunning. The turnaround was very quick- we got a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding! Every shot — candid, portrait, detail shots - is edited to perfection. We would highly recommend hiring Jessica for your wedding photography — would give more than 5 stars if we could!!”
